About Us

Clean Solar Systems is a New Zealand-owned solar maintenance company focused on building specialist capability locally.

Founded by brothers Jason and Hugh Wyn-Harris, the business combines deep local land-management expertise with international asset management experience.

Jason brings over 20 years of hands-on farming experience in Central Hawke’s Bay, underpinning a practical, low-impact approach to ground-mounted solar operations.

Hugh is an Amsterdam-based asset manager overseeing large-scale European EV infrastructure, bringing global O&M standards and performance optimisation expertise back to the New Zealand market.

Clean Solar Systems is designing and manufacturing semi-automated panel cleaning equipment locally, purpose-built for New Zealand conditions. The company is also undertaking independent soiling and performance studies to provide asset managers with locally generated data - enabling value-driven maintenance strategies based on New Zealand realities rather than overseas assumptions.

The result is scalable, data-backed solar farm maintenance that protects yield, extends asset life, and strengthens domestic renewable infrastructure capability.
